Shipping Instructions for Preserving Your Wedding Flowers

We’re excited to help you preserve your beautiful wedding bouquet! To ensure your flowers arrive safely and in perfect condition, follow these detailed steps for packaging and shipping. Proper preparation is essential for the best results.

Step 1: Prepare Your Flowers

  •  Send your flowers ASAP: Ideally, ship your flowers within 1-2 days after your wedding to ensure freshness.
  • Remove any wilting blooms: Discard any flowers that are already starting to wilt or brown. We want to preserve the freshest blooms possible.
  •  Hydrate your flowers before shipping: Trim the flower stems at a diagonal and place them in water for a few hours before shipping to keep them hydrated.

Step 2: Gather Your Materials

  • Sturdy cardboard box (slightly larger than your bouquet)
  • Plastic bags or wrap
  • Paper towels
  • Floral or painters tape (something gentle)
  • Packing peanuts or bubble wrap
  • Ziplock bags for any loose petals or small flowers
  • Ice packs (optional but highly recommended for warm weather)

Step 3: Prep the Flowers for Shipping

  • Wrap the stems: After hydrating, wrap the flower stems in damp (not soaking) paper towels. Then, wrap the damp paper towels in a plastic bag or cling wrap to retain moisture. Secure with floral tape or rubber bands.
  • Separate individual elements (if necessary): If your bouquet includes fragile or small pieces like loose petals, greenery, or accent flowers, place them in separate labeled Ziplock bags.

Step 4: Packaging

  • Prepare the box: Line the bottom of the box with packing peanuts or crumpled paper to cushion the flowers.
  • Place the bouquet in the box: Lay the bouquet horizontally, surrounded by packing peanuts or bubble wrap on all sides. Fill any gaps to prevent movement during transit.
  • Seal the box securely: Close the box and tape all edges securely with packing tape. Make sure the box is sturdy enough to handle shipping.
  • Label the box:Write "FRAGILE: Fresh Flowers" on the outside of the box in large letters to alert the shipping carrier.
  • Include Contact Info in the Box: Please include your name and contact information inside the box on a separate sheet of paper or index card.

Step 5: Choose Your Shipping Carrier

  • Ship using a fast delivery service (overnight or 1-2 day shipping):
It’s important to get your flowers to us quickly to preserve their freshness. We recommend using a reliable carrier like UPS, FedEx, or USPS with expedited shipping options.
  • Insure your package:
Consider adding shipping insurance for peace of mind.

Step 6: Notify Us!

Once you’ve shipped your flowers, send us a message with the tracking number. This helps us prepare to receive your package and ensures we can start the preservation process right away.

Pro Tips:

  • Ship early in the week to avoid your flowers sitting in a warehouse over the weekend.
